Block67 is located in the district of Napo, province of Maynas, and in the district of Tigre, the province of Loreto in the region of Loreto. It is divided into two sectors:
It is important that within Block 67 there are neither native settlements nor other villages, and the closest population lives more than 30 km away from the block boundaries.
Within the block, in the Piraña field, there is a territory called Buena Vista Viejo, owned by the native community Buena Vista, which was granted a legal property title through Ministerial Resolution No. 00082-80-AA-DGRA-AR, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on January 28, 1980.
This piece of land has been uninhabited since the 1980's, when the population moved to a new territory located on the right bank of the Curaray River, near the mouth of the Arabela River, 53km outside the limits of block67. The area of Buena Vista Viejo, is currently used by the community only for hunting and fishing.
