French ambassador

Perenco Peru recently hosted a visit by the French Ambassador to our operations on Block 67.

The visit, which also included a number of Embassy staff, was arranged to show how Perenco is meeting the operational, environmental and social challenges in order to successfully deliver this project of national importance.

The guests flew by Perenco seaplane from Iquitos to LBC, the project logistics base, and Piraña and Dorado drill sites.

The visit concluded at the Buena Vista Community, situated 30 km from Piraña along the Arabela River. The group received a warm welcome from the local authorities and people. This important part of the day allowed Perenco to show an example of one of our Sustainable Development Projects, successfully run by our Communities Relations Team and the Buena Vista community.
Since the visit, The Ambassador has thanked Perenco for a highly informative day in which she was impressed by all aspects, especially by the complexity of our operations and the harmonious relations that Perenco Peru has established with the communities of the region.
