Following its previous statement, Perenco Peru regrets to confirm the deaths of the 13 occupants of the helicopter that crashed on 7 April near Block 67 in Peru.

The families of the deceased have all been informed.

The company continues to work closely with the authorities, including providing ongoing logistic support to access the site.

Perenco's CEO, Jean-Michel Jacoulot, said:

"This is a very dark day and at this difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who have tragically lost their lives.  A full investigation is underway in order to understand the cause of this terrible accident."
